Changing from Fractions to Decimals

Changing from Fractions to Decimals

Numbers written as terminating decimals have fractional equivalents. Part of Algebra works better with fractions and some with decimals. You just have to pick the one best for your situation.
Changing from fractions to decimals is really funny if you study Division properly. To change earlier to the later,

  •  divide the numerator(top) by the denominator(bottom).

Example1. 5/2 if changes to decimal will be 2.5.

Example2. 9/5 if changes will be 1.8.

Example3. 4/11 will become 0.36363636...

Note:  Bar across the top of the 36 means the 36 is repeated forever, in case you see such. When numbers are in repeating form you can also round them off.
